Stage Kids

Every Saturday, the Gateway Stage Kids will get together for one hour to engage in drama games, conceptualise scenes/stories centered around a theme or subject, and work towards a performance to an audience comprising of their own parents and friends.

Trainers will also be teaching participants techniques on vocal projection and articulation.

Note: parents are not required to sit-in for this programme. We hope to build the child’s independence and confidence amongst other participants of the same age group.

Our Drama Trainers

Helming the Gateway Drama Kids programme is our regular collaborators ACT 3 Theatrics.

Stepping into the fourth decade as Singapore’s first professional theatre company, ACT 3 Theatrics continues to focus on children. They are committed to inspiring children in their hands-on quest to learn, explore, experiment, create, articulate and present. What children enjoy most is the act of doing things. They blossom to their full potential when surrounded by a sense of joy, wonder, spontaneity and freedom. ACT 3 Theatrics is dedicated in developing an environment where children’s thoughts are respected and their voices are heard loud and clear.

ACT 3 Theatrics MISSION is to equip children with literary, theatrical and critical thinking skills using traditional, new-age media, pop culture and digital technology. To provide platforms where they can – with their peers – imagine, explore, experiment, create, articulate, display, present, stage their thoughts, dreams, writings and performances.

To inspire in the young, a sense of joy in the creative process, cultivate self-belief and self-confidence.
